Dunbat Best trick Contest Pics and Clip
Saturday at Dunbat park Quicksilver Canada held a best trick contest for $500 Cash. The money was split between 3 obstacles (flat box, pyramid, euro-gap). Along with the best trick contest there was BBQ corn on the cob, live music and free Redbull. Not a bad way to spend a sunny Saturday afternoon. Here is a clip of the best trick on the pyramid, filmed and edited by C. Quick.
Here are some pictures from the day:

Congratulations to Hill and Dallas who both have photos in the new Fall issue of Skateboard Canada Magazine. Dallas' photo is this month's "Launch ramp" feature and is a shot of the notorious Skydome 13, switch lipslide (Also his ender in Fireworks, Dancing and Cartwheels"). Hill's photo appears in the 5 page Circa tour artical titled "Deep Ecological Footprints" and features Hilliard pre-catch on a lofty and lengthy kickflip over a tent.

Thunder Bay Game of Skate & FDC Premiere
After our stop in Sudbury we continued the drive up to Thunder Bay for the SKATE game and to premiere "Fireworks, Dancing and Cartwheels". Here are a couple pictures from a scenic lookout along the Trans Canada prior to arriving in T Bay.

Once we arrived in Thunder Bay we went to check out the new Current River mini ramp and to say hello to Blaine at Static Skate Shop.

Blaine

The Game of Skate went really well, in the end it was CR local Ben Tranter who knocked out Wayne, SKATE to SKAT to take home all the goods. Check the Game of Skate page for more pics and results from T Bay.

After the Game Of Skate FDC premiered at The Apollo on Red River.

Following the premiere an impromptu after party went down at "On Deck" resulting in Darren spending the night in the drunk tank and Nick in a slightly better position, passed out on the side of the hill next to our tent.

The next day, everyone was feeling a little groggy so we headed to the beach to relax and enjoy the clean waters of Lake Superior.
Dallas: Buried

Thanks to Dan and Cathy for putting as up at their house for our time in Thunder Bay, and for the delicious cooking!.

On the way to Thunder Bay Dallas, Nick and I stopped over in Sudbury and enjoyed the hospitality of our friend Peter Stankawitz. Peter brought us out to a few of the better Sudbury skate spots including "The Rock" and "The Foundation". Thanks again
to Peter and all the friendly Sudbury locs for showing us around their home town. Here are a few pictures from the stop over.
